| Job Information | These positions are to supplement the current staff and will be on-call to start with the opportunity of permanent placement. The resident specialist will be responsible for: * Supporting, interacting and communicating with a resident population that may have special needs including mental or physical disabilities and/or substance abuse issues. * Answering and responding to resident concerns and questions regarding lease compliance, safety, disturbances on site, noise or unauthorized guests or other issues impacting resident or the community. * Working closely with security staff to ensure resident and community safety. Routinely patrol buildings interiors, exteriors and perimeters; maintain security logs and/or visitor check in/out logs as needed. * Performing light housekeeping duties for the interior and exterior of the building, building common areas, office and restrooms as needed. Qualifications: * Knowledge of modern office procedures, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to effectively react to emergency situations * Ability to remain calm under pressure * Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely with a diverse group of people * Willingness to become educated in crisis intervention and de-escalation tactics * High School diploma or equivalent * One year of property management and/or customer service experience in a social service setting |
